Together Everyone Achieves More
Mrs McKeown's Update Tuesday 9th June9 June 2020 (by Martin Coyne (m.coyne)) |
Following on from yesterdays' announcement by Lancashire that the targeted year groups phased return will be delayed , central Government have decided that their original thought of all Primary school children returning for at least a month before the Summer break is now not feasible. There are a number of factors that have been considered, but includes the idea of having groups of 15 children at the most in a classroom with just one teacher . This would mean at least 7 extra classrooms and 7 extra staff each day. There are obviously other factors that initially the Government wanted schools to put into place to ensure all children came back before the break. The call now is to think ahead to September and a national plan to be shared with schools that will make it workable for all children to be back.
