Mrs McKeown's Message to Children at Home Wednesday 6th May 6 May 2020 (by Martin Coyne (m.coyne)) |
We are all hoping at the daily briefing on Sunday we will know a little more on how and when you will be coming back to school. I know a number of you are enjoying seeing and hearing from your teachers on Seesaw. Teachers are shy and retiring by nature so they didn't find it easy to do. Some teachers have also said how lovely it is to see videos of you cooking and dancing.
I am sure your teachers are continuing to encourage you to keep smiling and try your best at home. They are finding it all strange and new as well.
You have the VE day family celebrations to look forward to on Friday. We would love you to send some photos of what you have been doing so they can go on the school website. Check with your adults first though. Those children who have been in this week have made some bunting and done some research on VE day . They have listened to some music from 1945. Yes they did have music in the days of black and white television.
Look after yourselves and your adults . Keep trying your best . You are now part of a different kind of History .
